Our Mission
Grant Hack Club is dedicated to fostering a community where students can explore technology, develop coding skills, and create meaningful projects. We believe that every student has the potential to become a creator, not just a consumer, of technology.
As part of the global Hack Club network, we're connected to thousands of student hackers worldwide who share our passion for building and learning together.
What We Believe In
1Learning by Making
We don't believe in learning to code through lectures or textbooks alone. The best way to learn is by building real projects that matter to you. Start with an idea, figure out how to build it, and learn what you need along the way.
2Student-Led, Always
Hack Club is by students, for students. We run our own meetings, choose our own projects, and help each other grow. There's no curriculum handed down from above - we create our own path.
3Embrace Failure
Bugs, crashes, and failed projects are part of the journey. We celebrate the courage to try something difficult and learn from what doesn't work. Every expert was once a beginner who refused to give up.
4Open Source & Share
We believe in the power of open source. By sharing our code and knowledge, we help others learn and build upon our work. Together, we create something greater than any individual could alone.
5Community First
Coding alone can be tough. That's why we build together. Our Slack community connects you with thousands of other student hackers worldwide - always someone to help, collaborate with, or just share your excitement when you ship something awesome.
About Hack Club
Hack Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the largest network of student-led coding clubs in the world. With thousands of clubs across all 50 US states and dozens of countries, Hack Club provides resources, community, and support to help young people learn to code.
Founded in 2014, Hack Club has helped launch the coding journeys of hundreds of thousands of teenagers. From workshops to hardware grants to an active Slack community, Hack Club provides everything clubs need to thrive.
